Inqui-Lab aims to nurture the next-generation of problem solvers.
We are here to share with you Short Stories of Inspiration from the journeys of our very own Student Innovators. Let's together witness a better world through the hearts and ideas of our children.

A Walk in search of Knowledge

Two of our students Sriram and Priyavarshini took part in the 37th Chinna Shodha Yatra organized in Nalgonda district from 14th mile check post to Nagarjuna Sagar with 33 yatris from different walks of life.

Chinna Shodha Yatra (CSY) is an approx 60km WALK (Witness, Accept, Learn, Knowledge) into the villages of the two Telugu states organized by Palle Srujana. The mission of the yatra is the horizontal dissemination of grassroot knowledge and innovation from village to village. Some of the highlights for the students were the first-hand stories of grassroots innovators and learning from the four gurus - Nature, Villagers, Co-yatris, Oneself.

A Milestone in Sriram's Journey

Few months ago, Inqui-lab team has started mentoring Sriram to make his idea to semi-automate the pedalling process of the Jacquard loom in a low-cost manner into a reality. Sriram has procured all the materials required for his innovation with Inqui-Lab’s support! As his idea was related to the Jacquard handloom, Sriram was introduced to Padmashri Chinthakindi Mallesham garu, a grassroots innovator who solved a pressing problem of the Asu process within weaving.

Sriram was accompanied by Inqui team members Akhila, Nagesh, and Harish to visit Mr. Mallesham at Aler to better understand the handloom process and receive expert mentorship for his idea. Sriram had indeed picked a problem that has long been a painpoint for the weaving community. It was amazing to witness the animated conversations between Mr.Mallesham and his 12-year old mentee!
