Local King Salmon with Olive Oil
Fresh wild Salmon is on the CSF menu this week and we are excited to have it. We have a lovely cedar plank recipe showcased this week but as most of you know - Salmon doesn't take much to shine. It's great simply cooked with olive oil and lemon/herbs, poached, baked, or grilled.

The recipe below is a take on one of our favorite Salmon marinades - honey (or maple syrup) and coconut aminos. This is the reason we started selling the Mikes Hot Honey in our store - honey and syrup make a great coating to Salmon as the sugar lends itself to a nice glaze when cooked. 

The Salmon is coming from further north these days but we're enjoying it while we can and supporting the fishermen that are making the long journey.

Wow, it's incredibly difficult to find a Sablefish (Butterfish, Black Cod) recipe that doesn't include miso.😂

We liked this take (recipe below) on the famous Nobu recipe. You could also always keep it simple with the locally made Hakoyua Miso we sell in the shop.

Maybe we should have a Most Unique Black Cod Recipe Cook-Off contest soon?! 😉 What do you all think?

This week's Black Cod is right out of the Monterey Bay and will have the skin on since it's lovely grilling weather. 

If you've requested to avoid it, we will do our best to send a substitute - likely a local white fish like halibut, sole, rockfish, or lingcod.
