Cooking Demos
We've teamed up with Cooking Matters for delicious food tips, tricks and recipes!
Ever wonder how to cook the split peas, canned pork or dried cherries you picked up in our pantry?
We have. So we teamed up with Cooking Matters—the experts on cooking healthy meals on a budget.
This September, we'll have a chef from Cooking Matters onsite to show you how to prepare delicious and healthy meals for your family using food from The Emergency Food Assitance Program (TEFAP). The cooking demos will take place on:
- Friday, September 10, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
- Monday, September 13, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
You'll also find recipe cards from Cooking Matters in our lobby and pantry that you can take home to help you prepare healthy and delicious meals for your family. For even more food tips, visit Cooking Matters online to sign up for one of their cooking classes. When you do, you'll receive a $10 gift card to help you purchase the ingredients.
