Hi <<First Name>>
Your curated content full of parent-friendly business news, events + opportunities are below ⬇️
Last month I had the opportunity to participate in Startup Gov 2021, which was a virtual roundtable focused on key issues for entrepreneurs across the country, featuring three Members of Parliament, MP Ruby Sahota from Brampton North, MP Dean Allison from Niagara West and MP Gord Johns from Courtenay-Alberni.
I talked about Mixing Babies And Business™, adding baby change tables to startup spaces (apparently Parliament Hill recently had some installed - whoohoo!) and the opportunity for piloting coworking spaces with childcare as part of the Federal Budget announcement covering Universal Childcare.
You can watch the Startup Gov replay here.
⏰Now that we're entering an election in the coming month, who knows what will happen but I'm hoping to speak with the Minister responsible for childcare in the budget, when the time comes.
If there is anything you would like me to share during these future meetups or questions you have, please let me know – my next one is on September 8th – with the Hon. Nina Tangri, Ontario’s Associate Minister of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction Member.
Thanks for reading and hope you're enjoying the last few weeks of summer,
– Amy Lynch (+ Family)
