Classes & Trips
Intro to Entomology Class
This class has a scientific title for one of the most fundamental elements of fly fishing: aquatic entomology and its direct relationship to proper fly selection. Learn how to connect the dots between local hatches, insect lifecycles, and choosing the most productive patterns while fishing. Pair this class with our series of Fly Tying courses (beginning in October) to master the hatch. September 22, 6:00pm - 8:15pm.
Stillwater fly fishing offers a welcome change from our more technical rivers. Fishing our local lakes and reservoirs is often underappreciated and overlooked by anglers wanting to expand their fly fishing adventure. In this class, Angler’s Covey guides and stillwater experts Kenny Romero and Jon Easdon will walk you through all elements of stillwater fly fishing. From rigging, to tactics and techniques, to entomology, they will cover it all in this two-part class. Friday, October 1 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and Saturday, October 2 from 8:00am to Noon.
No need to change your clocks but you'll need to change your mindset. We go back to our fall and winter hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm starting Tuesday, September 7th.
