Hello beginner and experienced growers,
Oxgrow's newsletter is back to update you on the latest news and tasks to do on the field.
New volunteers are always welcome! Just walk in the front gate and we'll come and greet you.
Tasks this coming session:
This week we'll be planting more cabbages and lettuce and harvesting beans, beetroot, onions, lettuce, chard and courgettes. We'll also be watering the garden, mulching, mowing the lawn, cutting back the brambles and pulling out the weeds that have shot up due to the rain and sun.
The cafe at Hogacre is now open on Sundays, so don't forget to pop in to try their delicious food! Oxgrow volunteers get a discount!
Rules for your safety:
Please start the session by sanitising your hands. If you are able to feel free to wear a mask during the session.
Please bring your own gloves, hand tools if you have them, and hand sanitiser. We'll be practising social distancing so it's important to stay at least 2m away from others and there is a limit of 1 person in a polytunnel at a time.
