DMS Grand Opening
On Wednesday, August 25th we were able to hold an official grand opening ceremony for the new addition to our building. Although the building has been open to students for quite some time, it was exciting to celebrate the work that went into making this project a reality and to provide tours to those in attendance. A special thank you to DCSD Director of Facilities, John McHugh, and the DCSD School Board for helping this project come to fruition.

As a reminder if your student will be absent please call the office at
874-8046.

Checking Students Out
For safety reasons, when checking students out, parents/guardians are required to come in to sign their student out. Also it is our policy not to call students out of class until the parent/guardian arrives in the office.
--

In addition, we kindly ask that if you need to check your student out, that you do so no later than 3:15. After this time we ask that you wait until the end of the school day and pick your student up as normal after the last bell rings at 3:30.
--

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Chromebooks
As a reminder ALL students are required to have a school issued Chromebook or their own device at school everyday. If your student does not currently have a device please contact the office to make the proper arrangements to make sure he/she is issued one. To check one out from DMS there is a $35 fee and both the student and parent must sign the DCSD Technology Agreement Form. If the $35 fee is an issue, please have your student speak to a principal in the office.
Please remind your student of the importance of taking care of his/her Chromebook. If your student damages his/her device the following fees will apply:

The Delta County School District strongly encourages all students and staff members to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccines have been highly successful at reducing transmission, infections, and deaths. Fully vaccinated staff and students will not have to miss school to quarantine even in the case that they are in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19. The vaccine is currently available for free to all individuals 12 and older.

Visit the Delta County website for more information about the COVID-19 vaccine:
