This Sunday is the last of the Methodist year. Next Sunday you are invited to join others in the Circuit as we mark the beginning of the new Methodist year in morning worship at Erdington Methodist Church. The service will be conducted Revd Stephen Froggatt and myself with Revd Dr Jimmy Dube as the Preacher. Please scroll down to see (or download) the flyer.

The service will be available LIVE online from the Erdington Methodist Youtube channel. There will be no live service from the Erdington Channel for this Sunday. However there will be a service recorded by Revd Dr Alan Smithson.

The 1st Edition of the new preaching plan for September, October and November is now available and can be accessed below. I would be glad to hear from preachers regarding filling some of the empty on-line evening worship slots.. CLICK HERE with offers please!

Street Pastors

Erdington Street Pastors

Would like to be part of the Team?

We are now urgently in need of Street Pastors that would patrol the High Street and around schools. Full training would be provided. It is FREE for the first 20 including licensing and uniform. You need minimum of 2 -3 patrols per month and good if you can do more.

Volunteers should be over 18 (there is no upper age limit), active Christians and willing to complete 2 sets of training …virtual and 1 day in-person including sessions on Police, Community, Youth culture, drugs and homelessness. A DBS (Criminal Records Bureau Check) is required and references are obtained before joining a team of at least three/four people, each of whom will work for 3 hours together in the afternoons during the week and Saturday morning. A distinctive uniform is worn when volunteering so people know who we are.

Additionally, we are also in need of Prayer Pastors who will back up the Street Pastors while they are on the field and occasionally be in communication with them while they are on the field.

Please contact/submit your form to Jean Morton on erdington@streetpastors.org.uk And if you need any clarification, you can always contact any of the management committee member.

IDEAS from the Family Friendly Churches Trust

A complete service for Easter Sunday 6 with an address exploring the parable of the vine. There are prayers, a reading, songs and an address from IDEAS to make a rich visual worship experience. The service is led by Rev'd Ann Bossingham. We also thought it would be good to offer our Children's resources again a year on.
