CSDILA's Hackathon Event
“How can we leverage emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and Digital Twin to reduce the impacts of disaster, and to improve our approaches in mitigation, response and recovery, and to strengthen our community resilience?”
This is the question that the CSDILA Team asked participants to address in the 2021 CSDILA Hackathon event. This event was a two-week sprint, with a welcoming session held online on the first day, 16th August, and the final presentation hosted online on the 28th.
The CSDILA Team received 12 registrations, with two teams making it through to the final round:
- Youjin’s Team: A group of three PhD students from the Department of Infrastructure Engineering – Youjin Choe, Saroj Kumar Sharma, Marko Radanovic;
- Team Konjac: A group of three Master students from the Master of Information Technology – Yuxuan Sun, Kaixun Yang, Supei Li.
A panel of seven judges from CSDILA are now reviewing all the submitted work, with the results to be announced later in September.
