MU-LISA 40 minute Career Talk

MU-LISA from Mzumbe University in Tanzania has started having 40 minute Career Talk sessions with their students to help them better understand where they fit beyond school. They started this since many students were not sure where they fit upon completing our degree programs. They have published the first session, linked below:

ASUP OGITECH Organizes Workshop For Members

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa chapter led by Comr. Obanla has organized a training for all lecturers in the institute to equip them towards more quality education.
The workshop training session which was anchored by Prof. Olushina Olawale Awe from Colorado, USA was held today August 16th 2021 at the ICT Centre.

To prepare the graduate and the undergraduate students at the department of statistics to be statistical and data sciences consultants, AULISA from Egypt have a weekly seminar to discuss specific case studies. We present the case and encourage the students to suggest a solution using some statistical package. The students are divided to 4 groups. Each group has a faculty leader. The groups are:
Social statistics
Data sciences
Clinical trials
Sampling methodology
By the end of the first term the students will have the local consulting certificate exam. 25 undergraduate and fresh graduate students enrolled The majority are female; Few students are fresh graduates from Information systems development.
