I hope you're enjoying your bank holiday weekend 😊. For once it hasn't poured with rain for the Bank Holiday which is brilliant! I've had some quality time with my sketch pad and watercolours which I really enjoy and my husband has already almost filled the skip from clearing out the garden.
This is a bit of a random question, but do any of you make wine? My vines are positively groaning with fruit this year and I'd hate to see it go to waste. I was wondering if anyone would like the grapes in exchange perhaps for a bottle or two at the end of the procedure? They're nowhere near ready for harvesting yet but I'd like to have a plan ready. Last year they just rotted on the vine which was really sad.

As many of you know, my business is run on Savvy Pet Spa software. They are in the process of introducing an integrated payment system which will be called "Savvy Pay".
Ad-hoc Clients
In the not too distant future (so I've been promised) I'll receive their card machine and that will integrate with their software automatically at "check out" which will be brilliant. I will also be able to invoice ad-hoc clients who will be able to pay online before their grooming appointment date. Given that it is impossible to book a hotel room / flight / etc without giving payment details these days, this is clearly the way the world is working moving forward and I will be adopting this most probably from the 1st December.
It is important to note that clients who pay by cash will OF COURSE still be able to do so. I've seen online that there is a move afoot to shut down cash sales and I'd hate to see this happen. It certainly won't be happening here.
VIP Clients
The VIP clients will be sent a link where they can input their card details and their monthly payments will be taken from that, rather than going via a Standing Order from their bank account. All new VIP clients will go straight onto this system. So, what is a VIP?
A VIP client pays a monthly sum that covers the annual cost of their grooming. This does NOT mean that they come in monthly, it's just a convenient way of budgeting for / paying for their grooming. After all, the fact that your dog needs professional attention every 2/4/6 weeks should not come as a surprise should it?!! There are a number of benefits to being a VIP client:
- VIPs have already paid for their appointment - therefore anyone can drop off or pick up their dog without having to sort out payments with me at the end. This makes it much more flexible for you as a client.
- Their appointments are all booked in for 12 months ahead, so they know they've always got one.
- If they need to shift an appointment but there's no room in the diary, I'll set up a WhatsApp group with all the clients in the designated target area that they need an appointment for and see if we can't organise a swap. This is successful 99% of the time 😊.
- Those that sign up before December 1st will continue to pay their current price for a further 12 months. When the next price rise occurs their fees will go up by the same percentage as everyone else which means they're always 12 months behind the current price list.
Wanna be a VIP?
If you'd like to become a VIP both you and your dog need to fulfil certain criteria:
- Your dog must be an adult
- You must have brought your dog here to be groomed at least 3 times before
- Your grooming interval is 6 weeks or less
