License-Free Fishing Day

If you plan on taking extra guests fishing over Labor Day weekend, they won’t need a saltwater license on Saturday, September 4! FWC is waiving the fishing license requirement for all recreational saltwater anglers, including residents and non-residents, so it’s the perfect time to invite new anglers to try the sport.

HELP PREVENT ALGAE BLOOMS

Less Yardwork. Healthier Waterways.
Doing your part to preserve our water quality is as simple as doing less yardwork! During the rainy summer season, unnecessary fertilizing and improper fertilizer application can result in runoff that sends nutrients meant to feed your lawn into our waterways where they feed harmful aquatic algae instead.

By following local fertilizer ordinances through September 30, you’re helping to keep our waterways clean! Visit FertilizeSmart.com for more info and ways you can do your part to protect SWFL waterways.
