Chapter News
Join us in congratulating and thanking Cindy Sheppard, CFRE for taking on the role of AFPNB Chapter President!
Cindy is the Chief Executive Officer at Hospice Fredericton. She's an experienced fundraiser, leader and university lecturer. "I thrive on learning new things, love a good challenge and never overlook an opportunity," she told us.
We're glad she said YES to this new challenge and we're eager to watch our chapter grow under her leadership.

And in other chapter news...
I'm excited to announce that The AFPNB has appointed yours truly as our first-ever Chapter Director!
We believe it’s time to take AFPNB to the next level.
That means:
- A significant increase in new membership
- Providing greater professional development offerings and educational sessions
- Increased advocacy and leadership in support of our region’s charities and nonprofits
I'm looking forward to connecting with you in the coming months. In the meantime, if you'd like to chat about anything fundraising or AFP-related, I hope you'll get in touch.
Yours sincerely,
Christine Gilliland, CFRE

Share them in AFP’s Fundraising Confidence Survey
AFP’s Fundraising Confidence Surveys gather baseline data about members' attitudes and plans regarding fundraising, donors and their organizations. The August 2021 iteration of the survey covers fundraising from April through June 2021, as well as optimism moving into the future. The survey contains 14 questions and should only take a few minutes to complete. All answers will remain anonymous, and one randomly selected participant will receive a free one-year AFP membership.
