Dear families, advocates, and friends,
I hope you are all safe. On Saturday, we evacuated to Maryhill Renewal Center in Pineville, La. All clients are safe and sound, and we are keeping them busy with activities throughout the day. Many even think that this is a vacation! First off, I want to emphasize how incredible the staff who have evacuated with us have been throughout the process. We have a second team of Magnolia staff en route and will arrive this evening.
The people of Alexandria have been most hospitable, sending in volunteers, groups, meals, supplies, and more.
We are still unsure of when we will be able to return as this will be determined by the restoration of local utilities and the stabilization of local emergency services. We will keep you informed as things progress. All Case Managers will be on site by this evening and you should be hearing from them soon.
