Principal Update
St. John the Baptist School exists to provide families a choice in education. A choice that is different, academically rich, and supported by a community. Most importantly, we exist to help children build a personal relationship with Jesus.

Below is an excerpt from a recent homily from Pope Francis, reminding us that Jesus wants to be personally involved with you and your family:

“It might make us more comfortable to have a God who stays in heaven without getting involved, while we can manage matters here on earth. Instead, God became man to enter into the concrete reality of this world... God became man – for me, for you, for all of us – to enter into our lives. And he is interested in every aspect of our life. We can tell him about what we are feeling, our work, our day, our sorrows, our anxieties – many things. We can tell him everything because Jesus wants this intimacy with us. Let us invite him into our home... Jesus will be at the table with us and we will be fed by a greater love.”

COVID Reminders

  • Keep your child home if she is experiencing any symptoms. Keep her home until symptom-free for 24 hours.
  • COVID tests are not required to return to school. However, if anyone in your home is getting COVID tested, keep all the children home.
  • Help us keep our classrooms open and use caution when your children are sick.

Family Directory

If you would like to be included in the SJB Family Directory, available on a password-protected page of our website, you must turn in the permission slip that was provided in the open house family folder by the end of the day, September 4th. If the office does not receive a slip, we will assume you do not wish to be included in the directory.

Help! Where did the teacher pages go?

Have you been trying to find your child's teacher's page on our school website? It has moved! Please look under Contact Us > Staff to find it!

Since our website was redesigned, the staff will need to redesign their own page as well! All teacher pages will be posted by September 17th. How do you know if your child's teacher has a page linked? Look for the little icons below his/her photo. The first icon is a link to e-mail your child's teacher. The second is a link to his/her page!

Please continue to contact us if you are having trouble navigating the new site. Thank you!

SJB Calendar

The calendar has been updated and now includes No-Uniform Pass Days, Parent Days, weekly Mass assignments, and more! A link to the one-page, at-a-glance calendar was also posted! You can find the calendar under the "About" tab on the website!
