If It's Summer, It's Quilt Camp Time!
It's been 3 years since our last quilt camp!  For those of you new to this newsletter, quilt camp consists of playtime for Sue and Elizabeth at Elizabeth's summer house on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.  We dye fabric, work on screen designs, and try whatever other creative techniques capture our interest.  Due to the pandemic and Sue's mother passing away, we've had to skip a few summers, but have determined that this is our 10th Quilt Camp!  We are in the midst of about 10 days of creativity.  You can learn more about what we are doing on our blog where we have been doing daily posts.  Below Molly the mannequin models an ice dyed t-shirt that was screen printed using color magnet which attracts more dye.  On the right are some examples of rust dyeing and shibori pieces dyed in an indigo pot.
New Screens
Now for some updates in the Etsy shop.  We have added 3 new screens.  Birch bark is 7.5 x 10 inches (large screen), Cat tails is 6 x 9 inches (large screen) and Becky's Ginkgo is 6 x 6 inches (medium screen). Check out photos of prints of all three in the shop. Look for fall and holiday images to be listed in the shop again soon.

To introduce these new screens we are offering a September discount of 10% on everything in the shop from now through the end of September.  Use the code SEPT2021 at checkout, or shop using this link. Feel free to share this code with any friends who may be interested
Upcoming Printing Class at Artistic Artifacts
We will be back to in-person teaching at Artistic Artifacts on October 16 in the warehouse part of the shop where proper distancing can be maintained.  This is an amazing art and sewing store located on Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, VA.  If you have not been there yet, please do go check out the shop in person if you are able or online for all their wonderful supplies as well as classes.  Our class is Printing with Thermofax Screens in which we will practice printing techniques using various products. Beginner or experienced screen printers alike are welcome to join the fun as well as anyone who has previously taken our class.
