Walkers are Welcome
in Pewsey & The Vale!

Explore - Stay - Eat - Drink - Shop
It's official - the Vale is welcoming to walkers!
We are delighted to announce that Pewsey & The Vale has achieved Walkers are Welcome accreditation, recognising the quality and variety of walking in the area and reinforcing the area as an ideal destination for anyone who wants to enjoy a walking holiday.  And there are plenty of walks and bike rides to enjoy here - all downloadable from our website.
You can find out more about the accreditation here - including information on how to report any issues you might come across so that we can resolve them.
As we come to the end of August, with a rather interrupted harvest still underway, we are looking forward to the promise of fine weather for the next couple of weeks at least.
This time of the year is ideal for walking and cycling, for watching the changing landscape and doing a bit of blackberrying.  With plenty of things to do and events going on across the Vale you will be most welcome to spend your late summer with us here in the Vale.
For ideas on where to stay, have a look at our video or browse through our website.
We hope you enjoy this month's news and views from the Vale of Pewsey!

25 of the best UK pubs for walkers in the Sunday Telegraph

Featured in the Sunday Telegraph on 22nd August, The Crown & Anchor in Ham is highlighted as one of the places for walkers to visit and stay.  This follows the recent publication of Walks from The Crown & Anchor, Ham by Ron Forbes containing 25 walks, all of which can be downloaded from our website or you can buy the book - just £10 - from the Crown & Anchor pub or from their website.

Visit Woodborough Yard's Foodie Outdoor Market - on the first Wednesday of every month from 10am to 2pm - and find those locally-produced products from the Pewsey Vale and surrounds.  The next market is on Wednesday 1st September.
Best of all you can speak to the people behind the products, get their expert advice and perhaps taste before you buy!
Whilst you are at Woodborough Yard, visit the shops and cafes in this lovely setting.  Free and convenient parking too!
