The purpose of the OVW Consultation is to solicit recommendations from tribal government leaders on the following topics:
(1) Administering tribal funds and programs;
(2) Enhancing the safety of Indian women from domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, homicide, stalking, and sex trafficking;
(3) Strengthening the federal response to such crimes; and,
(4) Improving access to local, regional, State, and Federal crime information databases and criminal justice information systems.
- The Family Violence Prevention Services Act or FVPSA:

The purpose of the FVPSA Consultation is to determine if tribes support the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program establishing a minimum grant award of $55,000 for all tribes that apply for Family Violence Prevention and Services Act funding?
The FVPSA is mandated to support Native American Tribes (including Alaska Native Villages) and tribal organizations through an allocation of 10 percent of the total appropriation (less amounts reserved under Section 312). The purpose of these grants is to: 1) Assist Tribes in efforts to increase public awareness about, and primary and secondary prevention of, family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence; and 2) Assist Tribes in efforts to provide immediate shelter and supportive services for victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence, and their dependents.

The purpose of the Not Invisible Act Commission/Operation Lady Justice is to consult with Tribal governments to solicit input on the formation of the Commission and what the Commission should consider when developing recommendations that will have lasting impacts on Indian Country and further address the missing and murdered Indigenous people crisis. Consultation will increase transparency of the Commission's work, solicit information from Tribal stakeholders and provide direction to the Commission as it addresses additional issues identified in the Not Invisible Act in an effort to combat the missing and murdered indigenous people crisis.

The purpose of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Annual Tribal Consultation with tribal leaders and tribal designees is to identify criminal justice policy issues and tribal priorities to support tribal justice strategies to achieve safer communities. The ultimate goals are to improve law enforcement and public safety in tribal communities and native villages; and support grant administration and criminal justice policy development to support local, state, and tribal law enforcement in achieving safer communities. The focus areas will include: comprehensive justice system planning; tribal justice facilities; court system enhancements; alcohol and substance abuse programs; civil and criminal legal assistance; alternatives to incarceration; addressing violent crime in Native communities; and other priorities.
