Anne Core
Marketing & Communications Director
St. Petersburg Area Economic Development Corporation

Anne designs and executes the St. Pete EDC’s marketing and communications initiatives to position St. Petersburg, Florida as an optimal location for businesses and talent.

Prior to joining the EDC, Anne served as marketing director at a strategic marketing firm, director of marketing at a regional law firm outside Washington, DC, and executive director of a local chamber of commerce. Anne graduated cum laude from Georgetown University.

When she’s not extolling the virtues of St. Petersburg as a place to live, work, and play, she’s walking near the water with her rescue dog, Furby.

Mary McDaniel Swoope
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Florida’s Great Northwest

Prior to joining FGNW, Swoope served as the Executive Director and COO for the Mississippi  Economic Development Council, a professional association of over 500 economic developers, chamber executives, and stakeholders in Mississippi. As Executive Director,  Mary worked to provide professional development for the members as well as promoting and advocating economic and community development in Mississippi.

Before joining MEDC, Mary was the Business Development Coordinator for Watkins & Eager  PLLC in Jackson, responsible for business outreach and marketing for the firm.

Amanda Vilain
Executive Administrative Assistant to the Assistant City Manager
City of  Delray Beach

Amanda has three years of experience working alongside the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the preparation and control of the department budget for City Manager Administration, Communication, Economic Development, and Sustainability. Additionally, she assists the Office of Economic Development in the formation and execution of the Faces of the Economy campaign. It is a crowdsourced visual campaign used to highlight the diversity and vibrancy of the City of Delray Beach's local economy.

Working on this project sparked an interest in Tourism Marketing and Economic Development, which Amanda wanted to explore and gain exposure to.

She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2016 Master’s degree in Public Administration. In 2020, she earned a certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
