Hello friends,
I'm sorry to inform you that after seven years of playing jazz at the Pourhouse, I've decided to end my involvement with the Pourhouse Tuesday night jazz jam. There were a number of factors that led to this decision but the main one was differences in the vision of what we wanted the jazz jam to be and to become.
This is not the end of the Pourhouse jazz jam. As far as I know, they will continue to have the weekly jam, but I will not be there as of tomorrow night.
This is also not the end of my hosting a jazz jam. Along with Ron Holleman - a great friend and a fabulous trumpet player - we're looking for a venue in Fort Collins to host a new weekly jazz jam.
The timing of this decision also coincides with Mary's and my move to Fort Collins in mid-September. We're excited to move into our new home near Prospect and Overland Trail, and we're looking forward to renewing connections with our FoCo friends.
I will keep you posted and once we've found a venue for a new jazz jam in Fort Collins, we hope you will come check it out. Thanks and best wishes to you!
