Pandemic Update

It is NOT over.  As our church  continues to monitor conditions in our country and adjust our own guidelines and rules, please be safe and make smart decisions about your own health and safety.  Currently San Diego County is recommending that everyone wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.  This is in line with current CDC guidelines because we are in an area with high transmission levels.   

Please get Vaccinated.  Now that the Pfizer vaccine has been fully approved by the FDA there is one less reason to avoid getting this much needed safeguard against the COVID-19 virus.  Most of the other myths that you might have heard about the vaccine have been debunked as well.  To date none of the long line of RNA type vaccines have any recorded long-term effects.  The vaccine doesn't contain any live virus.  The short-term side effects are rare, and most are mild, especially compared with getting COVID-19 without a vaccine.  Having had COVID is not nearly as much protection as the vaccine.

Ready to Order Scrip? 
Buy it Sunday morning, if it's in stock, or contact the wonderful Karen Harris who is in charge of the Scrip Program.  She is willing to order Scrip and bring it Sunday morning, or to meet church members at the church to distribute cards when needed.  She prefers a text message, but if you don't text, a phone call will work:  760-519-4035
CD/ DVD Worship Service Ministry

If you, or someone you know, has trouble viewing our worship service on YouTube or Zoom, we are happy to send out a CD or DVD copy of the worship service each week instead.  We are already doing this and would gladly do it for more people. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the weekly worship services.   The disks usually arrive in the mail on Thursday or Friday of each week following the Sunday worship service.  This service is free, as our Good Samaritan Fund covers the very minimal cost of Media Mail rate from the Post Office.

How to Lift up a Prayer Request to be Shared in Worship
Prayer concerns for worship can be submitted throughout the week but have to be turned in by 9:00 am on Sunday to be sure they are included in Sunday's worship service.  If you don't like using electronic devices,  you can fill out a prayer card in the back of the sanctuary before church and hand it to Jennifer at the table in the back of the sanctuary.  Otherwise you can send us your prayer concerns anytime using one of the following ways.
