Twin Suns
by Dawn Vogel
"You must protect the princess from the twin suns at all costs."
It was easy when they'd had an enclosed truck, before the marauders shot out the tires.
Three guards and the princess remained. She only went out after dark.
But the guards were snippy, and she demanded to go out before sunset.
She'd never learned why she needed protection, so she covered every inch of skin, an elegant mummy wearing sunglasses.
It wasn't that simple.
It was the suns' gravitational pull on the royal family.
And all the guards could do was stare as their elegant mummy rocketed away.
