On Saturday, August 7th, 2021 families living in two Omaha area apartment buildings experienced devastating flooding. Many families lost most of their belongings, including non replaceable items such as family pictures, mementos and certificates. Many mattresses, furniture, electronic devices, clothing, bedding, pillows and food were destroyed. All households in both buildings came to America with refugee status and were working on getting established in this country.

Restoring Dignity found out about the flooding and decided to take action. Six of the displaced families (all refugees from Somalia) stated that they want our help in replacing items that were destroyed. Over the past two weeks, we have been working with families to create lists of what was destroyed and what needs to be replaced.

Get involved TODAY in three ways:

• Donate funds that will be used to purchase items for the families

• Donate items (either via Amazon or drop them off at our Community Donation Center)

• Sponsor a family as a church/religious group/organization/business
