Dear Zion Families,

Adults know the world is full of uncertainty. We’re constantly facing the stresses of the pandemic, jobs, unemployment, family issues, and whatever else causes us worry and anxiety. That’s why the routine and continuity of the school day is so important for children. As our students settle into the daily routines of their classrooms, they are learning that school is a place to learn and grow in a safe environment surrounded by the constant reminders of God’s love for them. Part of the challenge of parents is that we see but protect them from the stresses and worries of life. That means we need to be reminded too of Jesus promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. With everything going on around us in the world, it is my hope and prayer that the peace of Christ will fill your lives such that worry and anxiety won’t overwhelm you. Thank you for being a part of the Zion family!

FIRST TUITION PAYMENTS
The first tuition payment for the year is due on AUGUST 25. You should have received an email invoice. REMINDER: the invoice includes a 3.5% Convenience Fee which is REMOVED if you pay by cash or check. 

SPIRIT WEAR ORDERS
Get your Spirit Wear and show your school spirit! Spirit Wear is clothing items that show off your school spirit and school colors. 

Order forms have been sent home. Spirit Wear orders are due by August 30 and will be delivered in early September.

GET YOUR MUMS
Another opportunity to help our school: order your Countryside Mums! These are huge mums in a variety of colors for a great price. 

$15 Pre-Order or $20 at the Door. Orders are due August 30. And delivery will be early September. If you need an Order Form, you can get one from the office or have one sent home with your child.

SYMPTOMS AND SICK DAYS
We’ve already had a few students out here and there with colds, sniffles, etc. We appreciate the extra caution families are showing. Thank you! 

Please continue to be alert for the following: Loss of taste/smell, Fever, Cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chills, headache, nausea/vomiting, congestion/runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea, body/muscle aches, fatigue, or abdominal pain. 

If your child has ANY of those symptoms, please keep them home until they have been SYMPTOM FREE FOR 24 HOURS. That usually means an extra day away from school beyond the day they are feeling better. If in doubt, keep your child at home, notify the Office, and consult your doctor. Thank you for your extra vigilance and cooperation in keeping illness out of school! 

QUARANTINE GUIDELINES: Be aware that if a family member is exposed to Covid, your child will have to observe a 14 day quarantine from the time of the test results. 

IF YOU NEED TO GIVE YOUR CHILD MEDICATION FOR SYMPTOMS OR FEVER, THEY SHOULD NOT COME TO SCHOOL!
