September 1st performance of
What Lies Beneath has been canceled.

Due to inclement weather, today's performance of What Lies Beneath has been canceled. Our performance venue, the tall ship Wavertree at the South Street Seaport, offers an incredible opportunity to present opera, but it necessitates certain precautions when weather poses a safety hazard to our artists, staff, and audiences.
We are dismayed that we must make this decision, as What Lies Beneath is our first full production since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the performing arts. We have eagerly been preparing for On Site Opera's return to live performance for several months, keeping a sharp eye at all times on safety and health guidelines, and we know that you have likewise been eager to return to the joy of live performance. This cancellation due to weather strikes a particularly painful blow for all of us after such a difficult year. In light of this change, we would like to offer you a few options to look forward to your next On Site Opera experience:

- Although all other performances are sold out, we can add you to the top of the waitlist for any remaining performances. Please click here to join the waitlist and be sure to add code RAIN in the message box.

- Your tickets to What Lies Beneath were reserved with a suggested donation; please let us know if you would like us to refund your donation.

- Early access to tickets for our next production (announcement coming this fall for our January production!).
