#GAIA2030 #GenerationRestoration

PROTECTING GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY CAMPAIGN

With over 100 member organisations in over 79 countries, FEE is the world’s largest Environmental Education organisation. To disseminate our principles and encourage communities to take an active part in supporting and saving our natural environment, we launch the GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Campaign, encompassing a set of activities targeted at different stakeholders to emphasise the importance of protecting nature. The campaign is led by the LEAF programme, and is open to the entire FEE network, Blue Flag, Eco-Schools, Green Key, LEAF and YRE.

Online quizzes, social media campaigns, a lesson plan and best practice competition are leading up to Global Action Days 2022, focusing on Protecting Global Biodiversity. Join in!

🤝The Foundation for Environmental Education and LEAF as official Actors of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030

Ecosystems support all life on Earth. The healthier our ecosystems are, the healthier the planet - and its people. The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration aims to prevent, halt and reverse the degradation of ecosystems on every continent and in every ocean. It can help to end poverty, combat climate change and prevent mass extinction. It will only succeed if everyone plays a part.

Thousands of ecosystem restoration initiatives are already driving positive changes on the ground. We are now part of this global movement, as an official Actor!

🌲🌳Win a Tiny Forest!

Tiny forests are highly compact, fast-growing forests that bring nature into urban environments. As well as helping us reconnect with the natural world, they are also a haven for insects and birds. Each forest counts about 600 trees and covers a space that would normally fit a tennis court – roughly 200 square metres.

The prize

The winner of the tiny forest will receive funding to cover the costs of the trees, soil preparation, fencing and planting as well as training and onsite guidance from nature education organisation IVN, which is leading the tiny forest movement in Europe.
