How vibrant is your church?

It’s that time of year, again. Families re-establish their school routines. The church resumes or steps up its ministries and activities. And the District office sends out the schedule for church conferences and SPRC meeting with the DS.

Saving Grace Financial Course

Rev. Dr. Sherry Parker-Lewis from the UM Foundation of Michigan is offering the Saving Grace Course via Zoom for clergy and their spouses/accountability partners. Beginning in September, sessions are the 2nd and 4th Mondays from 10: 00 am - 11:30 am OR 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

Fun Ride & Fall Social for Everyone!

Saturday, October 9
11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Tridge

Rev. John Kasper and Debbie will have a care tent on the lawn with doughnuts and cider from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Those who would like to ride can join with others or ride solo on the Pere Marquette rail trail which is an even straight paved path for all ages and fitness levels, or just come out to mingle, grab a doughnut, and enjoy the day!

Lay Leader Workshop
Every United Methodist Church is required to name someone to the position of Lay Leader. Well, what does that mean? What does a Lay Leader do? Do I really have to attend every meeting of the church? The most important part of the being the Lay Leader is collaborating and building a healthy relationship with the pastoral leader of the faith community.

REACH Summit 2021

Calvary Lutheran of Lansing Has Items to Donate
On June 6, Calvary Lutheran Church of Lansing held its final service.  After 55 years of ministry, the congregation voted overwhelmingly that the time had come to close this ministry and for members to seek new congregations in and through which they would share themselves and their resources.  There are many more items available.
