From the Director
Over 2000 years ago, Jesus modeled for us a way to release people to go into all the world and make disciples. First, he invited the disciples to walk with him and observe, to learn from him how he ministered to people. He often paused to teach them along the way. Second, they ministered to people with him, for example, the feeding of the 5,000. Third, he sent them out two by two for a short period, and then when they returned, he debriefed with them what they had learned. Last, they were fully released to go into the nations.
In YWAM’s DTS, we try to follow the first two steps. Students come and learn how to minister to people, and then they come alongside seasoned staff to minister together on international outreach. MBI’s After DTS program allows the third step to happen. We’ve created a way for this generation to “test the waters” of nations or ministries that interest them. Our desire, through this program, is to see many people released into the nations feeling more confident to do all God is asking them to do.
