The Goal: To increase the exposure to, engagement with, and emotional impact of Scripture in mother tongue languages throughout North Africa and the Middle East by creating high-quality animated localized films of Bible portions that are Accurate, Beautiful, and Clear. The majority of people across the region, while highly valuing education and literacy as a concept, prefer audio/visual methods of learning and communication.

Why Animation?: Art is powerful and good art can convey thoughts and emotions in ways that go beyond words. It can speak to the heart as well as to the mind. This is why “a picture is worth a thousand words” is such a well-known cliché. It is also why throughout church history, and even in scripture, art has been used to help bring people closer to God, whether it be stained glass windows, paintings, music, dance, sculpture, Solomon’s temple, etc. Animation is just one form of art, but it is one that is very useful for telling stories and it can be distributed online for easy access for anyone with an internet connection or smart phone.

Financial Needs: The 4 artists on the team are all using our own personal laptops and tablets, and it works, but they are getting old and outdated.  They greatly need some upgrades to work more efficiently.  Professional equipment is not cheap and Sabeel Media is wanting to help with some new and improved equipment.  Here are the numbers…
