Fresh. Local. TOGETHER.

Let's Go, 'Hawks!
8.26.21
Dear Market Friends and Fans,

Welcome and welcome back to Lehigh students, faculty, and staff! We're excited to see so many new--and familiar--faces on campus and coming to the market. We hope you'll find lots to enjoy from our vendors: fresh peanut butter, fresh bread and pastries, juicy local fruits and crisp vegetables, kombucha, yogurt and cheese, kiffles and cookies, smoothies, sandwiches, soaps and lotions, house/office plants, and so much more.

If your diet is vegan or vegetarian, gluten-free, or completely omnivorous, you'll find plenty of options to choose from. Grab lunch and take a seat on the square to enjoy live music by Erin Kelly and watch the people and pets passing by.

Don’t miss your chance to take part in the local food game happening now with Buy Fresh Buy Local of the Greater Lehigh Valley! Check in at the market and try some of their challenges for a chance to win amazing prizes! Grab a friend and your reusable shopping bag* and meet us at the market!

If you have ideas to share or comments or questions about the Bethlehem Farmers' Market, feel free to drop us a line.

*Need a reusable shopping bag to carry your farmers market purchases? Stop by the market welcome table and pick up a brand new purple bag, courtesy of our market sponsor, RCN!

R is for Resilience

If we have learned anything over the past year and a half, it's that our community is resilient. Local growers and food producers, in particular, worked hard to keep safely providing fresh foods to consumers throughout the challenges posed by the pandemic. Many found creative ways to change their business models and delivery methods to make sure that their products continued to be available.
You may notice from time to time that a vendor is absent from our market. That can be frustrating when you've come specifically to make a purchase from them. In that moment of frustration, please remember that our vendors are small business owners with families and lives and all the associated ups and downs that go with them. Be sure to thank our resilient vendors who show up on Thursdays with smiles on their faces. They are glad to be there and appreciative of your support.

WELCOME, JENNY'S KUALI + WONDER GARDEN!
We are very excited to welcome market sponsor and beloved Lehigh institution Jenny's Kuali to the market this week! Stop by their table and meet Jenny's employee Mei, who is the owner of Wonder Garden farm in Hellertown. Pick up a copy of Jenny's Vegan Cookbook and a jar of the restaurant's signature ginger-garlic sauce and perhaps some other goodies!
