"HE DOES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME"

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)

Greetings in the name of the One who is never late!

LOST PASSPORTS

Yes, they are lost.  We sent them to the Liberian Embassy to get our visas for our August 28th departure and THEY NEVER MADE IT.  This is a big hiccup in several ways.
1. We obviously won’t be able to leave on the 28th _ a big disappointment and extra challenges.
2. Lost passports are bad news out in the “wild”  so we reported their loss to the State Department.
3. Now we must apply for new passports.  The processing time is anywhere from 2 to 18 weeks!!!  We couldn’t get an appointment until next week to get the process started!!
4.  There are lots of things to be canceled and any future planning will depend on the passports arriving. We’ll keep you posted.  The big thing we need is prayer.  Check the Prayer Focus for specifics.

CLINIC CONTINUING

Rainy season appears to have slowed down the attendance at clinic.  We will have to make some adjustments once we can get a good picture of what the ongoing need will be for the community.  More prayer for wisdom is needed.

MANY SCHOOL SUPPLIES SHIPPED!!!

A thank you to all those who have worked and are working to get school supplies together and get them delivered to Texas. So far you have made it possible for 5 barrels and 4 totes loaded with school items to be on the way to Liberia.  Be praying for the blessing they can be.  It will probably be October before these things arrive at Fair Shake Village!
Because of your help, barrels and totes were loaded in Dallas and delivered to the warehouse to be loaded in the container. We expect them to arrive in October.
BUILDING PROGRESS

You prayed for breaks in the rainy season so that the current 2 classrooms under construction could be completed.  It has been progressing well.  As you read this, the rafters for the roof are being dimensioned and given an anti-termite treatment. The team has been working hard. Let the pictures show the progress.
Along with getting the clinic up and running, the construction and readiness of these 4 classrooms has been one of our priorities this year. As mentioned in our last prayer letter, we are close.  With the funds that have come in our financial need is down to about $10,000.  We would steward these funds to finish off the classrooms with paint, desks, electrical installation and window security.  Remaining amounts would help with school startup and other operational costs. We have a great deal to do and not being able to be onsite right now is a huge disadvantage.  We can’t do this without your prayers and ongoing support as you sense His leading.
The planks are being dimensioned and treated so that they will be usable for making trusses, rafters, etc. Walls are up and ready for the roof. This is a very hard working crew!! We thank God for them!
Because of His great love!!
