CWN Newsletter: September 2nd, 2021

Dear CWN,

Thank you to all who signed up to participate in the Making Connections pilot program! This program is designed to provide community and networking, making connections across campus.

As the fall semester brings a dynamic energy and return of colleagues and students to campus, we are reminded of how it is our community which sustains the spirit of Berkeley. Whether near or far, virtual or IRL, we are all connected and it is only together that we excel - it is important to begin the academic year by supporting each other.

While the transition into fall is an exciting time, it can also be exhausting and turbulent. It may not feel like we have a moment to spare, but it is at these times when it is important to connect to our community and create space for yourself. How can we ensure we are watching out for our mental health as we move into fall?

A couple of easy ways to safeguard mental health:

We hope you each of you is able to find a bright spot at the start of our new academic term. We are so thankful for the CWN community that makes campus strong!

It is based on the premise that most people struggle with change and can benefit from exploring their ambivalence in an empathetic and empowering setting. This introduction to MI workshop is interactive throughout, including large group discussion, small group/breakout rooms practice, and individual reflection share back.

To attend CCN's two-part training series held in September and October, you must register below by Monday, 9/20

  • Dates - Part 1 of 2 - Wednesday, September 29, 2:30-4:30 pm | Part 2 of 2 - Monday, October 4, 1:00-3:00pm
