2021 AANR-NW Convention Report
Unlike last year, AANR-NW held a live convention and general assembly year, held at the Willamettans, in July
Events included meet and greet receptions, sports including pickle ball and bocce clinics and play, shuffle board, water balloon volleyball, disc golf, horseshoes, ping pong, billiards, and volleyball, entertainment including casino night, DJ dance, and a live band dance with Saturated Phats, open house at the AANR-NW nudist library, silent auction fund raiser for the local fire fighters (who had worked the nearby forest fires), tie dye and other crafts, tavern, meals, and other activities.
Kathy Watzel, AANR President, attended the convention and meetings. Meetings included discussions on Women in Nude Recreation committee activities, Government affairs, digital communications, COVID effects on our clubs, the AANR-NW library and history, possible hybrid meetings in the future with live and on-line access, other concerns that were raised, officer and committee reports, selection of 2023 convention site, and awards presentations.
The awards presented were:

Member of the Year – LuCinda Gustavson from the Willamettans
Member of the Year – Andee Rogers from Squaw Mountain Ranch
Scholarship - no applications recieved
President's Meritorious Award - Mike Parker from Hidden Springs
President's Meritorious Award - Andee Rogers from Squaw Mountain Ranch
Photography Awards - reported last issue - Grand Prize Winner - Andy Waldren
Membership Increase awards
Percentage Increase Winner - Lake Bronson 29.9% increase
Member Number Increase Winner - Lake Bronson 35 member increase
Come on out to next year's convention. The next two years of conventions will be at Sun Meadow in 2022 and Squaw Mountain Ranch in 2023.
The AANR convention was held in August at Star Ranch in Texas. Next year's AANR convention will be at Suwannee Valley Resort, and the 2023 convention will be at Solair Recreation League in Connecticut.

Sun Meadow Resort in Idaho is for sale! Bill Schroer is putting together a group of investors that are interested in buying the resort and operating it as a nudist venue.
