Student of the Week
Congratulations to our student of the week, Connor (Class of 2022)! He was nominated by Mr. Schneiderwind, our engineering teacher, who had this to say: "Connor is a 2nd year Engineering Academy student who has embraced all the challenges we’ve thrown at him! In Engineering 2, he’s responsible for recommending our robot hardware and tools which involves communicating with multiple manufacturers and vendors, and then relating his recommendations to the class. Connor is also a teaching assistant for our 8th grade PreEngineering class where he gives middle schoolers experience, practical know-how, and is a relatable person! Connor is also maintaining our 3D printers in the lab, which is a full-time job in itself. He has come in early, stayed late, and done work outside school to become our resident expert on these machines. His excitement is contagious!" Way to be a Lion! Thank you to our corporate sponsors, Cheryl Adams at Coldwell Banker and Kustom Heating and Cooling for our Student of the Week awards. See the video here.

Parking Reminders
PARKING REMINDERS
In order to keep our families and students safe, please make sure to follow all posted parking signs and regulations in the parking garage and the parking lots. Please do not park in handicap parking spots or other reserved spots that are marked in the parking garage. There is no parking on the first ramp into the parking garage on the East side for safety of pedestrians while cars entering and exiting the building.

EAST PARKING GARAGE - PARK AND WALK
In the East parking garage (front of building), all traffic is one way. Do not reverse your vehicles to go down the garage ramps. Please do not park in the handicap parking spot for any length of time unless you have a state handicap tag. Do not stop and drop off students in the East parking garage. You must park on that side and walk in.

WEST PARKING GARAGE - DRIVE AND DROP
In the West parking garage (back of building), please do not park where the signs are posted "No Parking." This side of the parking garage is for door pick up, so keep the traffic moving by not parking in the restricted areas.

OUTER DRIVE OF BUILDING - ONE WAY
This drive is one way when driving back to the front of the building. Please drive around the back of the building to return to the front. This helps keep traffic flow safely moving.
HCA Car Tags
Please make sure that you are displaying your orange 2020-21 vehicle sticker on your car when you come into the parking garage at HCA. Thank you for ensuring our building is safe for our students.

NHS Recycles Sneakers
Did you know that your gently worn sneakers could help HCA's NHS serve the community?

Well, they can, and here’s how…Our society is participating in an ongoing fundraiser where there is nothing to buy or sell. All we need is your support and your gently worn, used, or new sneakers!

In partnership with GotSneakers, NHS collects, bags, and ships sneakers and in return, we are compensated!  The funds earned from this will then be used to support this year’s service projects.

So get busy cleaning out your closets!! Our drop-off bin located in the cafeteria near the spirit store.

Learn more about GotSneakers by visiting their website at www.gotsneakers.com.
