Hi <<First Name>>
Just as God gave Noah a plan for the ark, and Moses a plan for the tabernacle, I believe that He has given us a model and plan for New Testament Churches in the book of Acts, and especially in the Church at Ephesus.
The Ephesian Church was the last recorded Church that Paul planted, and was the most successful.
We see in this Church...
- The power and gifts of the Holy Spirit were active
- Paul "gave away" ministry by encouraging and empowering people to be ministers, even though they were new believers
- A large "equipping" teaching ministry, as well as small "home group" Church meetings
- A diet of teaching topics that was centred around Repentance, Faith, Grace, The Kingdom of God, and God's "Counsel", or predetermined plan for His Church.
- His plan for leadership structures, and loving team relationships.
Watch this week's message and let us know what you think.
Let's be praying for all of those around the world who are bravely stepping out and starting or leading groups and Churches, and especially those in Afghanistan at this time.
Jesus has promised to be with us always when we are seeking to obey His Great Commission, so don't lose heart, friends - He is with us, and we are together in this great journey.
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20
Blessings and love
