Dharma Topic: The Bardos of Living and Dying

Throughout Tibetan Buddhist teachings is the emphasis on understanding and preparing for the dying process and the transference of consciousness at the time of death. With this awareness and understanding of our impermanence, our lives can be lived fully with joy and compassion, and we can see this process as the opportunity for enlightenment that it is.  Join us for a discussion of the bardos of living and dying.

Recommended texts that will be referenced:

In Love With The World, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche
The Tibetan Book of the Dead, translated by Robert Thurman
Good Life, Good Death, Gehlek Rinpoche
Mind Beyond Death, Dzogchen Ponlop
Living in the Face of Death, the Tibetan Tradition, Glenn Mullin
Living is Dying, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse
