Book Now for the 23rd September evening AGM: Booking deadline extended to 31st August

Dear all

As we have met the minimum numbers for our AGM we have been able to extend the deadline for booking until 31st August 2021.

It would be fantastic to see a lot of contractors at the fabulous Washingborough Hall, Church Hill, Washingborough, Lincoln LN4 1EH on Thursday 23rd September, with arrivals from 6pm onwards ready for food at 6.30pm.

The venue is very accessible from across Lincolnshire, thanks to the new bypass in Lincoln as shown on the map below, and there is ample free parking available.

The food at the venue, I have been advised, is really excellent (and I am looking forward to finding out). A hot, fork buffet will be served from 6.30pm, with the general AGM/SGM business being followed by a talk from a GP guest speaker, based on the Little Book of Red Flags which we provided to each contractor earlier in the year. This will be really useful, particularly for practicing community pharmacists, and there will be the opportunity to ask Dr Deaney any questions after his presentation. The full agenda is shown below.

Dr Deaney is an experienced GP, currently a Principle GP at Marsh Medical Practice who have surgeries based in North Sommercotes and at Manby near Louth, but who has previously worked as a GP in the armed forces.  I personally worked with Dr Deaney at Lincolnshire East CCG several years ago.  He also has previous experience working for Macmillan Cancer Support as one of their GPs and of working in collaboration with the Universities of Lincoln & Nottingham, and Hull York Medical School to support their healthcare student practical placements. We are very much looking forward to welcoming him to our AGM.

A link to the invitation with full details can be found here.

The AGM is free to attend for all contractors and is an opportunity to meet up with fellow contractors, hear from an experienced speaker and enjoy a great buffet - what reason is there not to come?

Book your free place now by emailing info@pharmacylincolnshire.org

Look forward to seeing you there.

Initial PQS Details available

An announcement was made last week containing initial details on the 2021/22 PQS. Further details and resources will follow over the next two weeks, but there are several pieces of work that contractors can get started on, subject to their workload capacity allowing that.

You will see that last year’s PCN flu vaccination collaboration is being repeated (with increased target levels and a requirement that participating contractors vaccinate at least 30 patients).

We have advised the Pharmacy PCN Leads of the inclusion of the PCN flu vac domain in the scheme.
