EASY PRESERVED LEMONS

Preserved lemons are lemons with superpowers! They add an exotic, intense, sweet and tangy flavour to any dish, equally good in desserts as they are in savoury dishes. With lemons in abundance right now is a great time to preserve them.

Once preserved they will keep indefinitely, as long as the brine is covering them and they are sealed well in sterilised jars. This recipe is for one jar but you can multiply it to make as many as you like.

This is a fantastic initiative as it is the first post-consumer silicone repurposing project in the Southern Hemisphere.

Herbal Teas To Help Dislodge Mucus

I decided to re share this article this week.

You've heard me talking about Marshmallow Root Tea (Althea officinalis) before. We drink this healing tea (which is great for the gut) every day and have now added Liquorice Root, Mullein and Fenugreek to our tea cupboard.

These teas help to dislodge mucus at an early stage. Once you have a thinner, looser mucus it is much easier to remove it by coughing. This selection of teas once steeped create mucilage which helps to do this.
