Registration Required!
District Conference will be Sunday, August 29 from 2 - 3:30 pm via Zoom. Anyone can attend. However, the following are voting members: clergy, certified lay ministers, lay leaders, chair of council/leadership board, church school superintendent, UMW President, UMM President, District steward, lay member to Annual Conference, District Trustees, District Treasurer, District Lay Leader, District UMW President, District UMM President, District Youth Council rep.
What's going to happen at District Conference? We will have a time of worship and the convening of the business session --the 2022 District Budget will be presented for approval and District Leadership will be voted on as well as the election of District Lay Members to the 2022 Annual Conference.

Healing Past and Present Trauma
an Elizabeth River District Clergy webinar!
In the past year and a half, many have experienced multiple layers of trauma. The “Healing Past & Present Trauma” webinar will equip clergy to lead both themselves and their congregation. The webinar will be Tuesday, September 21 from 10 am to 1 pm. The cost will be $10. .5 CEU has been approved for full participation in this event.

Lay Servant Training Opportunity
The Rappahannock River District is pleased to offer another Virtual Lay Servant Training this fall. These classes are held via ZOOM and are open to all districts. The classes will be held on consecutive Saturdays (September 18, 25, & October 2). The classes offered include: Basic (8:30am - 12:00pm); United Methodist Heritage (1:00pm - 4:30pm); Called to Preach (8:30am - 12:00pm)

 You're invited: Relaunch Webinar- season 2!
Relaunch webinars will be held every last Wednesday of the month to provide resources to prepare for a relaunch! We are aware of the rising cases related to Delta, and we pray that each local church's PRG team is making the best decisions to mitigate the spread. The webinars are added resources for the churches, as we pray and plan for relaunching.

Special and Sustaining Grant Applications
 Applications are now available for the 2022 Common Table Special Grants and Sustaining Grants for local churches and ministries. Forms may be found at https://vaumc.org/special-and-sustaining-grants/ The deadline to receive complete applications (must include all supporting documentation and be signed by the District Superintendent) is October 15, 2021.
