BACK TO SCHOOL - "STAY SOLUTION-FOCUSED"

Sonja van der Bank
(Camino Consulting)

As always, Sonja van der Bank motivated our principals during their online support hub meetings. Our schools faced many challenges and uncertainties returning to school. "Let us stay solution-focused, not problem-focused", she said.

How do we keep momentum in a VUCA world?

Covid-19 and it’s impact on the economy and schools showed us just how volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous life can be. Leaders can translate this VUCA environment into one that equips and empowers their teams to focus on delivering their work with momentum.

  • Create Vision for your teams, where they learn to look beyond the current situation for a better vision.
  • Create Understanding among your teams by stating your expectations.
  • Create Clarity for your teams through clear action plans (S.M.A.R.T goals).
  • Equip your team with skills and contingency plans to easily adjust and be Agile

MORE MASKS DONATIONS FOR OUR SCHOOLS

Being part of a cause that is beyond the scope of my own life is a great honour and brings about a sense of fulfilment. I'm here to help everyone that's part of this organisation understands that this is bigger than all of us and each of us uses our skills and knowledge in order to try and achieve our common goal of improving education institutions to create a more well-educated and sustainable society.

I want to inspire more people of my age group to get involved in helping Strong Schools reach their objectives.
