If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:8

George Edward Kornahrens

Into Paradise may the angels lead you.
At your coming may the martyrs receive you and
lead you into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May a choir of angels welcome you, and
where Lazarus is poor no more, may you have everlasting rest.
In paradisium

George loved life, and life loved George!

George loved his car!
George loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! He had lots of them!
George loved his church! It was during the time of the electrical renovations that I got to know the working man, self-made electrician, owner of Charleston Electric!  George and I talked multiple times a week during the long process of re-wiring the entire physical plant of St. Johannes Lutheran Church.  George knew everyone in the Charleston City Electrical Department!  Pictured above is George with José checking out the work in the church balcony.  He always had a solution to keep the property of the church updated.  I remember sitting with George every Sunday morning at the round tables in Gatch Hall with him sharing stories of his trips, life, and fun he had!  Thank you, George, for all of your wisdom and advice! Thank you from St. Johannes for your lifelong commitment and generosity.
