#1 The colour story is perfect for sure, BUT if you look at the centre section, and according to the two quiz questions/answers above we now know that the peachy top and the cream blouse should have switched places to enable the light to dark rule to apply, and yes, you would switch the pants along with it.
# 2 When we present an outfit on the wall we ALWAYS should present it the way one would wear it. TOPS ABOVE BOTTOMS (AS SHOWN) AND…TOPS TO BOTTOMS from LEFT TO RIGHT. Note the side hung garments That would mean that the light blouse would be followed by the print blouse, and then to the pant. - exactly opposite to what is shown.
I know why they did this. It’s because the merchandiser thought that the front of the garment would face forward to the front of the store - which is to the right, but that is incorrect. The front of the garment is always on the LEFT side of the hanger - NO MATTER where you are in the store. Worth repeating! The reason for this is about ergonomics and making it easy for the customer to look at the garment without twisting their back to do so.
These are just a few of the rules of merchandising to help you make buyers out of shoppers, and one of the easiest to do as well.
Hope you enjoyed this quickie!
