UPDATE ON
PHILIPS CPAP RECALL

More Philips CPAP and BiPAP Machines Recalled

We at Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, are always seeking out new information on emerging issues and how we can help you cope with them. We have learned that Philips Respironics has added more devices to its recall list due to potential health risks. The polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) sound abatement foam, which is used to reduce sound and vibration in these affected devices, may break down and potentially enter the device’s air pathway. If this occurs, the person using the device may inhale or swallow black debris from the foam or certain chemicals released into the device’s air pathway. The recalled devices have been prescribed for a number of Veterans.
