"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay". ~ Habakkuk 2:3

Hello everyone,

It seems impossible to believe that September is here! And this means summer is almost over too...

For some, this is a sad time - as they would wish that the weather would always be this warm. They love being outside in the warmth of this season. For others (and I tend to fall into this camp), they are ready for the fall. They love the cooler weather, and for everything under the sun - that you can purchase - to be favored or scented with "pumpkin spice."

I think about the days of summer - they seem to last forever, the day itself.  And yet, the season flies by.

I think about the seasons of our lives, and how days seem to last forever - but the years fly by. The scripture above reminds me of the times in my life where I have been in a difficult season, where I have been praying about a difficult situation. The days - during these seasons - are especially long.

As I look back, however, I have found that God has been faithful to see me through and help me overcome these times - however long those days might linger. As we pray continually through these hard seasons, God's presence becomes vital. We are stronger on the other side because of His faithfulness.

Friends, we've begun a new season at our church. It's a season of renewal and rebirth. It's a season of reliance on God in deeper and stronger ways. My prayer for all of us is to see how God grows our love and reliance on Him, and how He gives us daily opportunities to share this love to the community we serve in fresh, new ways.

May God bless you today,
Pastor Denise

Worship Through Giving

We are thankful for your faithful support during these challenging times. Your generous giving has been vital in maintaining our ability to cover expenses and continue our church ministries. You may continue giving in-person at the indoor worship service, by sending your offering check directly to the church, or by using the church online giving feature found in the footer of the church website. It is easy, secure, and appreciated. The Online Giving option is also available while you are watching the weekly online worship service. --- Thank You

Food Pantry Ministry
2nd & 4th Monday Each Month
The next Food Pantry distribution is
Monday, September 13
The DeBows Food Pantry is open on the 2nd & 4th Monday each month, 6-8pm. DeBows is using an "Appointment Only" system to distribute the food. People can make an appointment by calling 848-373-8844.

Please note: participants need to call for an appointment by 5:00 PM on the Saturday prior to the scheduled food pantry day. This gives the Food Pantry volunteers time to prepare the food for distribution. "Thank You" for your cooperation.

Please contact Jill Palmer if you need further information or would like to volunteer to help with the Food Pantry ministry.
UMCOR Hygiene Kits

DeBows will be supporting UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) through September 26 by supporting their Hygiene Kit program.

This is hurricane season and the heat wave/drought conditions in the west this summer increase the risks of wild fires.

Along with accepting monetary donations, DeBows will be collecting items to build Hygiene Kits. Our UMCOR Hygiene Kit outreach activity helps to meet the ever increasing demand for relief items. The Hygiene Kits we put together are forwarded to UMCOR for deployment to those most in need. This has been very successful and rewarding ministry in past years.

If you wish to donate, please mark clearly on your check or envelope that it is for UMCOR.  Each Hygiene Kit is valued at $12, but any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and will be sent to UMCOR along with the hygiene kits.

Click HERE to view a detailed list of items needed and a short video of Anita talking about the need for these kits. "Thank You" for your support.
