Due to the current COVID19 restrictions in place at our cemeteries this year it is essential that people book in advance for our Annual Memorial Services using the information above. 

Please note there are no memorial services this year at Cheshunt Woodland Cemetery or Golders Green Crematorium.

Afghan Refugee Crisis


We urge those of our members who are looking to support the Afghanistan Refugee Crisis to sign the Jewish communal response letter that is being sent to the Prime Minister by JCORE. The letter can be signed by clicking here

We also hope people can support their local communities efforts during the rehoming efforts.

Refugee Rights - What is the Future?  


Thursday 2 September at 7:30pm 

Seventy years on from the UN Convention on Refugees, what rights do Refugees still have in the UK? How will the proposed immigration bill affect those rights? And what can we do? 

To help address these questions we welcome: 
Lawrence Bottinick, Senior Legal Officer, UN High Commission for Refugees and Edie Freedman, Founder and Director of JCORE, the Jewish Council for Racial Equality.

NLPS Trust Funding Available


Don't miss the closing date if you are planning to apply for a grant from the Trust in the next round of awards. The closing date is 22 August. 

Applications are welcome from all LJ communities for new projects and developments. Examples of recent awards can be found on the Trust's website, where you can also find the application form and guidance on how to apply. 

If you have a project in mind but your application won't be ready by 22 August, don't worry. There will be an opportunity to apply in the following round of awards in the spring of 2022.

Getting Away with Murder(s)


Thursday 9 September at 6:15pm
at Everyman Theatre York

Tickets are now available for Getting Away with Murder(s) that will be shown on 9 September from 6:15pm - 10:30pm at Everyman Theatres in York with Q&A afterwards. 

The film is a feature length documentary that asks the question why were 1,000,000 people able to kill 11,000,000 people with over 99% never being prosecuted. A part of the filming occurred in York at Clifford's Tower and examines the Clifford Tower massacre. To discover the answer you will need to see the film.

Norwich Liberal Jewish Community are looking to appoint a part time rabbi to lead their small but growing community. This is an exciting time to join them as they continue to build on the work done by Rabbis Leah, Gerson and Anna over the past eight years. 

The new rabbi will be with Norwich one weekend per month.

The job will be based at the SPS site in Chase Road, Southgate but there will be some opportunity for home working.
