Condolences to the Team at SuperValu

The Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce along with our business parters are saddened by the news of Jared Wannamaker's sudden passing. Jared was a phenomenal store manager, and a strong supporter of the Sunshine Coast community. Our condolences to his family and the SuperValu team.

Get Ready to Vote

With the election coming up on September 20, 2021, here are different ways to vote:

Vote by Mail 

• Apply online and you will be mailed a voting package Elections Canada must receive your completed application by Tuesday, September 14, 6:00 p.m.
• Elections Canada recommends applying asap, as they are expecting an extremely high number of mail-in votes this year

• Vote at your assigned polling station from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on:

  • Friday, September 10;
  • Saturday, September 11;
  • Sunday, September 12;
  • Monday, September 13.

• Vote at your assigned polling station on election day, Monday, September 20, 2021.

Project Water Box on the Sunshine Coast

We support our business community's efforts in supporting Project Water Box during the SCRD stage 4 water restrictions. The Sunshine Coast Credit Union, One Straw Society, and Persephone have created this project, along with the support of many other businesses in the community - many of whom are members of the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce.
