ABOVE & BEYOND SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS
The ladies of Above & Beyond are once again organizing a school supply drive, providing backpacks for Operation Scugog Food Bank, Good Shepherd C. S. and S. A. Cawker P. S.
Backpacks are needed for older students (ages 12-18) and items needed include zip up binders, pens, pencils, water bottles, calculators, lined and plain paper, and binders. Gift certificates are also appreciated to allow organizers to directly purchase needed items.
Please stop by Emmanuel Community Church (1680 Reach Street) to drop off your items for the backpacks on Monday, August 30th, between 10 am and 4 pm. One of the Above and Beyond ladies will be waiting to receive it with a smile and a very thankful heart!!
In addition, the principal of Good Shepherd (next door to Emmanuel) has reached out to Above & Beyond with a request desperately seeking lunch hour supervisors for this year - should you know anyone that may be interested in helping to walk the hallways during lunch for 20 minutes and then supervise outside for 40 minutes please contact Jennifer, the school secretary. The school can provide more details to anyone who may have interest. Should there be hesitation regarding COVID and being in the building, there is flexibility with someone committing to the 40 minute outdoor duty.
