Friend of The Advocates,

The United States has spent 20 years and 2 trillion dollars in an attempt to spread democracy in Afghanistan. These efforts have also cost the lives of far too many U.S. service members, Afghan police & military members, and civilians.

Then, as soon as we leave, everything unravels in a weekend.

There is an important lesson we can learn from Afghanistan. Liberty can’t be forced onto others.

First, people must learn about the philosophy of liberty and peace. Then, they will know how to secure liberty for themselves. But without that philosophical foundation, it’s easy to see how a country can fall into chaos so quickly.

What is happening in Afghanistan is heartbreaking.

Giving into fear, embracing big government, and a lack of understanding the ideas of human liberty has led to the loss of countless lives.

While these events are taking place overseas, I feel compelled to continue fighting for liberty in the United States and to prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again.

The Advocates for Self-Government is introducing more people to the ideas of liberty and personal responsibility with “The World’s Smallest Political Quiz”.

You can help us distribute more copies of this quiz and introduce more people to the ideas of libertarianism. Friend of The Advocates, will you consider donating $10, $25, $50, or even $100 today? Please click here to donate >>>

“The World’s Smallest Political Quiz” teaches people that the political spectrum is much more complicated than what they’ve been taught.

The Quiz moves away from the traditional left/right model and reveals the major difference between the various political philosophies; the amount of government control over human action in both the personal and economic spheres.

The Quiz helps introduce people to new political ideas they might not have encountered before.

1 out of every 3 people who take the Quiz are surprised to learn they are actually libertarians. For many of these people, this might be the first time they have ever encountered the term “libertarian” before.

The battle for ideas and hearts and minds has real life consequences… The events unfolding in Afghanistan are a tragic example of this.

If our desire is to ever move away from endless wars and violence, we must introduce more people to the ideas of liberty.
