The RHRA’s AGM and Recognition Event is just over three weeks away. The past year has been one full of challenges, along with new learnings and a clearer path of where the RHRA is headed. Our Registrar and CEO, Jay O’Neill, will share a snapshot of our work over the past year and offer insight into our plans as we continue on in a pandemic world and move forward in a changed landscape.
We are pleased to welcome the Hon. Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility, and we will celebrate the achievements of remarkable seniors who have stepped up to make a positive impact on those around them, despite the obstacles brought on by COVID-19. We will also recognize the contributions of a community partner who provided invaluable assistance to the RHRA and demonstrated a true commitment to resident protection.

RHRA’s Stakeholder Advisory Council is Accepting Applications
RHRA’s Stakeholder Advisory Council (SAC) is recruiting for two available positions. The SAC application deadline is Friday, October 1st, 2021. Interested candidates who qualify may apply for the following positions:
Consumer Representative
Individuals may qualify for the Consumer Representative position if they are family members of residents currently or previously living in a licensed retirement home, or someone who advocates on behalf of seniors living in licensed retirement homes and their families.
Resident Representative
Individuals may qualify for the Resident Representative position if they are residents living in a licensed retirement home.
Applicants must complete the SAC Application Form 2021-22 and return to residents@rhra.ca. Interested candidates will find this application on the RHRA website here). Candidates may add a CV or resume to supplement their application. RHRA encourages operators to share this information with someone who may be interested in applying or would like to know more information.
