New Access for Small Business Owners - Beyond Blue

NewAccess for Small Business Owners is a free and confidential mental health coaching program, developed by Beyond Blue to give small business owners, including sole traders the support they need.

The program uses Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT) that allows participants to recognise the way they think, act, and feel and break unhelpful thoughts.

Over six sessions, coaches with a small business background will work with you to overcome difficult issues, providing you with practical skills to manage stress and get you back to feeling like yourself.

At your first appointment, your coach will complete an initial assessment with you, and develop a program tailored to your individual needs.

NewAccess for Small Business Owners is available nationally by phone or video call.

Nominations for Victoria’s fossil emblem

Museums Victoria is excited to invite the people of Victoria to cast their vote in selecting a candidate for a state fossil emblem.

State emblems are a way of celebrating the unique and amazing natural heritage of our part of the world.

Victoria has these emblems already: helmeted honeyeater (bird), Leadbeater's possum (animal), weedy seadragon (marine animal), common heath (flora) and gold (mineral), but does not yet have a fossil emblem.

CAST YOUR VOTE!

Voting closing date: 4 October 2021

The eight nominees

You can find all eight fossils at Melbourne Museum, which had originally been found in various Victorian locations.

ATDW are focused on assisting tourism businesses to better manage their digital presence through new enhancements on ATDW-Online.

As valued industry partners, we recognise your unique relationships to businesses and tourism operators and we want to ask for your help in promoting new opportunities to our industry.

ATDW would like to send you updates on our new enhancements and resources that you can distribute to your operators to help businesses learn and use the ATDW-Online platform.

Below is an example of our most recent enhancement - the Google My Business integration - which we encourage you to include in any industry communications, corporate social channels, or direct conversations with operators you have.

If you'd prefer not to receive this information please let me know by responding to this email and whilst I respect that, I'd still like to keep you in the loop through our regular #askATDW updates.

Google My Business Enhancement

We believe the Google My Business enhancement will be an invaluable addition to ATDW profiles, helping business owners and operators to better manage and improve their profiles for maximum conversion opportunities.

If a business chooses to connect their Google My Business listing to their ATDW profile, any updates to their ATDW profile will automatically feed onto their Google My Business listing. This will improve online visibility, deliver better quality traffic and provide efficiencies to a business's management of their digital distribution.

Connecting a Google My Business listing also provides access to Google generated insights on digital performance to be viewed in the ATDW-Online platform, providing a streamlined marketplace for access to tourism digital marketing information.

This is an exciting release, and to accompany this we have developed a range of communications and collateral to support businesses. Our Google My Business Functionality Walkthrough can help your local businesses to learn how the functionality works and is an easy-to-use resource that you can provide directly to operators.

You can click here to access pre-written wording and images for use on your shareable channels. I'd also like to recognise the support of Wine Australia, through the Export and Regional Wine Support Package.

If you have any feedback or questions, please let us know.
We always welcome your valuable suggestions and are here to support the tourism industry in any way we can.
